Stopped going to "Chin's" because they gave us a "loyalty card" and then after two months or so when we finally earned a free meal said "oh we're not doing that program anymore"... alright then our office will no longer have their name on our list of acceptable lunch places. Enjoy the loss of 30 customers (unless they want to go their on their own dime... unlikely) So we looked on Yelp and found "Bamboo House". Not only do they seemingly have all the same dishes of food, instead of giving you just rice, they give you sides of Rice AND Noodles AND Potstickers AND Wontons, not to mention the free Crispy Noodles they give you while you wait (and fortune cookies at the end too, but that goes without saying). All those sides come with every lunch plate and are enough to make a meal out of just by themselves, but on top of whatever dish you order, they easily let you have a great meal plus a lot of leftovers to take home for later that night or the next days lunch! WISH THEY HAD DUCK ON THE LUNCH MENU. That's my only complaint and the only thing keeping it from getting five stars. I could have spent a bit more money and ordered duck on the dinner menu, the increased price was NOT the issue... the issue was if you order off the dinner menu, you're not going to get the Rice, Noodles, Potsticker, and Wontons that come included with the lunch plate specials. Just give me my Duck AND sides please... PUT DUCK ON THE LUNCH MENU. I don't care if it's "more expensive", I will PAY THE PREMIUM FOR IT! I just want my duck to come with all the Lunch side dishes...
Food and service were great Late lunch My wife and I had noodle soup with chicken veggies delicious
This place is decent but very different compared to royal mandarin and golden chopsticks in National City. My friends and I tried the beef lo-mein, braised tofu with vegetables, and honey beef with a side of white rice. The portions were pretty big and enough to feed 6-7 people family style without having leftovers. The service was good and seemed like a mom and pop type of restaurant. I would come back for the dine-in service and try other dishes family style.
My partner and I decided to run a few errands when we unexpectedly stumbled upon a Chinese restaurant. Upon entering, I noticed two aquariums filled with parrot fish, which I absolutely love. The place was adorned with a variety of designs and paintings, creating a tranquil atmosphere. Initially, we were skeptical as we don't usually dine at Chinese restaurants, but to our surprise, the food turned out to be incredibly flavorful. I opted for a combination plate, which included orange chicken, fried shrimp, an egg roll, sesame chicken, breaded wings in sweet and sour sauce, fried rice, sautéed soft noodles, and house soup. Meanwhile, my partner chose a combination plate with bamboo house noodles instead of orange chicken. In summary, every dish was delicious, and the service was prompt. The staff were attentive, ensuring that our glasses of water and hot tea were always filled. This was my first visit to this establishment, and I am genuinely impressed by the quality of both the service and the food. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area or those craving authentic Chinese cuisine.
We arrived in town feigning for Chinese cuisine. Google helped us find this spot and we were not disappointed. The gentleman who took our order was patient and hospitable even though we arrived 20 minutes before closing. As far as the food goes it did not disappoint. It tasted authentic and flavorful. They serve generous portions at about $23/person and we each had leftovers for the next day. If you're in the area, I recommend you check them out.
Lunch special... So fresh, so good. Great people super friendly as always. First time trying the Mandarin Chicken nice and little.
